Chasseurs généreux gets a new partner 

As hunters get ready for bear season and a new year of the successful Chasseurs généreux program, the Fédération québécoise des chasseurs et pêcheurs is proud to announce a new partnership with Latulippe Outdoors. 
 
The Fonds Chasseurs généreux will now include the Latulippe name, in recognition of a generous financial contribution from Latulippe Outdoors. This money will help boost donations of whole game at no cost to the hunter or butcher. The Fonds Chasseurs généreux Latulippe will also reimburse donations for halfgame and moose quarters.  
 
“This partnership was a natural fit for Latulippe,” said François Latulippe, President of Latulippe Outdoors. “Just like the Fédération québécoise des chasseurs et pêcheurs, we believe in respectful, responsible hunting. Supporting the Fonds chasseurs généreux Latulippe is our way of encouraging our community of hunters to do something thoughtful that helps out local families in need. This program combines the pleasure of hunting with the joy of giving.” 
 
In addition to donations of whole game, the Chasseurs généreux program will continue to collect regular donations of smaller amounts of game meat to be distributed to people in need through the Food Banks of Quebec (FBQ) network. This provincewide initiative, in its seventh year, collects an average of 6,000 pounds of venison each year. The program is made possible thanks to the participation of certified butchers; generous bear, moose and deer hunters; and the crossQuebec network of FBQ member organizations that distribute the meat locally. 
 
If your butcher isn’t part of Chasseurs généreux yet, you can encourage them to sign up at chasseursgenereux.com. Game meat donations are incredibly valuable to organizations that help people in need, especially as food aid requests have gone up during the pandemic. Participating butchers are directly responsible for making the program a success, and we’d like to take the opportunity to thank them for their invaluable collaboration.
