Description

When outdoors, you need a water filter for all conditions—clear or dirty water—and the award-winning Katadyn Vario adapts to different conditions. The filter removes bacteria, protozoa, cysts, algae, spores, and sediment. It reduces chemicals and improves taste and odor thanks to a replaceable activated carbon granulate. The Katadyn Vario uses ceramic as a cleanable dirt shield and fiberglass for microbiological filtration with minimal pump resistance. In “LONGER LIFE” mode, cloudy water is first pre-filtered through the ceramic disc and has a flow rate of approximately 1L/min. When used in “FASTER FLOW” mode, water is directed directly to the fiberglass membrane, increasing the water flow rate to 2L/min. A double piston mechanism ensures continuous water flow with minimal effort, the rubber base provides secure support, and the integrated bottle thread fits directly onto Nalgene bottles (wide opening).
