The Latulippe Lottery (the Lottery) is organized by Magasin Latulippe Inc. (Magasin Latulippe).
The Lottery takes place every month, according to the terms and conditions detailed below. One draw per month will take place with a limited number of tickets available. A portion of the profits from ticket sales will be donated to a different non-profit organization each month. Each month, the organization, the number and value of prizes to be won, the start and end dates of the entry period, and the date of the draw will be specified in Appendix A of these rules on the launch date of each Lottery.
The Lottery is open to anyone residing in Canada who is 18 years of age or older on the date of the draw (see Appendix A). Employees, representatives, agents, shareholders, and directors of Magasin Latulippe and its partners, suppliers, and any other parties directly involved in the draw, as well as their immediate family members — including, but not limited to, parents, siblings, children, and spouses — and all persons residing with the aforementioned individuals, are excluded from this contest.
2. 1 A participant may enter the Lottery by purchasing a ticket or by submitting a written request, as detailed below. A purchase does not increase the chances of winning. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
2.2 The participant can purchase a ticket on the Magasin Latulippe website (Latulippe Raffle Ticket) for the prize of the month, during the period when tickets for the batch in question are on sale. This period is specified in Appendix A. They must complete the mandatory fields on the registration form on the website. Participants who have purchased a Lottery ticket will be eligible for the prize draw for the current month (see Appendix A). Tickets are no longer valid once the draw has taken place. There is no limit to the number of tickets a participant may purchase.
2.3 Participants may also enter the Lottery by mailing a written request of at least fifty (50) words to Magasin Latulippe at 637 Saint-Vallier Street West, Quebec City, QC, G1N 1C6, stating their reasons why they wish to participate in the Lottery and mentioning the prize in question. All written requests must be received by Magasin Latulippe before the draw for the desired prize. Only one entry per person by written request is permitted.
3.1 One (1) prize will be awarded in each draw. The prize and its value will be detailed in Appendix A.
4.1 When a lot includes a firearm, participants are responsible for holding a valid firearms acquisition and/or possession permit.
4.2 The prize offered must be accepted as is and is not exchangeable, refundable, or redeemable for cash. Certain exceptions apply, such as in the case of clothing or shoes, where the winner may choose the size of the product, subject to availability.
4.3 In the event that, for reasons beyond its control and unrelated to the winner, Magasin Latulippe is unable to award the prize as described in these rules, Magasin Latulippe reserves the right to award a prize of the same nature and equivalent value or, at its sole discretion, the cash value of the prize.
A random draw will be held among all eligible entries received (via ticket purchase and written request). The draw will take place on the date specified in Appendix A, at 1:00 p.m. Quebec time, at the offices of Magasin Latulippe Inc., located at 637 Saint-Vallier Street West, Quebec City, QC G1N 1C6.
The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
6.1 In order to be declared a winner, the selected participant must:
a) Meet the eligibility and participation requirements and complete the purchase form by filling in all the required fields or send a letter as stated in section 2.3 and, in all cases, correctly answer the mathematical skill-based question;
b) Be contacted by the contest organizer within two (2) weeks of the draw. Magasin Latulippe will take reasonable steps to contact the participant by email and telephone within two (2) weeks of the draw. If Magasin Latulippe is unable to reach the participant, the participant will be disqualified. Another draw will then be held. This method of selecting the winner will be repeated until a winner is duly declared.
c) Sign the declaration and liability waiver form sent by Magasin Latulippe and return it to Magasin Latulippe within fifteen (15) days of receipt. In this form, the participant will declare that they have complied with these rules and confirm that they release Magasin Latulippe, its affiliates, and all of their respective directors, officers, owners, partners, employees, agents, representatives, successors, and assigns from any liability and any damages of any kind that they may suffer or that may arise from the acceptance and/or use of their prize.
6.2 The winner will be announced as soon as they have been contacted and will be mentioned on the Lottery's website.
6.3 Upon receipt of the signed declaration and liability waiver form, Magasin Latulippe will contact the winner to inform them how to claim their prize.
6.4 Failure to comply with any of the above conditions or any other condition set out in these rules will result in the selected participant being disqualified and losing all rights to the prize. Another draw will then be held. This method of selecting the winner will be repeated until a winner is duly declared.
7.1 All entries are subject to verification by Magasin Latulippe. Entries that are incomplete, fraudulent, or otherwise do not comply with these rules will be automatically rejected and will not be eligible for the prize. Such participants may be reported to the appropriate legal authorities. Any decision by Magasin Latulippe in this regard is final and cannot be appealed.
7.2 By accepting the prize, the winner agrees, without receiving additional compensation, to have their name and city disclosed on Magasin Latulippe's informational, advertising, or promotional platforms.
7.3 By entering the draw, participants acknowledge that they have read and understood these rules and agree to comply with them. Participants certify that the rules are complete and available for consultation.
7.4 Participants or persons attempting to participate in the Lottery release Magasin Latulippe, its affiliates, and all of their directors, officers, owners, partners, employees, agents, representatives, successors, and assigns from any liability or damages of any kind that they may incur or that may arise from their participation in the contest and the acceptance and/or use of a prize.
7.5 The Lottery is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws.
7.6 Magasin Latulippe may terminate the Latulippe Lottery without notice.
