When a refund is issued, points are automatically deducted. If the point balance is lower than the value of the return, the equivalent amount is deducted from the refund.
Example: I purchased for $100, so I had 200 points in my account. When refunded, I get $100 back and 200 points are removed.
If I had used my rewards ($2) before the refund, I would then receive $98, and my points balance would remain at 0.
The points balance can never be negative.
